Large Format Acoustic Panels

High-coverage acoustic treatment for large and complex spaces

Where small tiles are impractical, large format panels step in. Fewer panels cover more surface area — reducing installation time and material handling while delivering the same proven acoustic performance.

Designed for Large Spaces

Fewer panels. Faster coverage. Same performance.

Large format panels are designed for spaces where the scale makes small tiles impractical. One 800 × 2,440mm sheet covers the same area as nearly 20 standard 500mm tiles — with a fraction of the handling and alignment work.

The same 25% surface coverage guideline applies. The difference is how quickly and cleanly you get there.

Acoustic Performance
0.60NRC

Rated NRC 0.60 — higher achievable

All panel sizes carry a rated NRC of 0.60. In practice, installation method makes a meaningful difference — panels mounted with an air gap behind them, or suspended as ceiling baffles, typically outperform flush wall-mounted panels.

For halls, studios, and large open ceilings, ceiling baffles and canopies are often the highest-performing option.

Installation Made Simple

Wall panels, ceiling baffles, and canopies

No specialist fitters required for wall installation. Wire hanging kits for ceiling baffles and canopies are available separately — anchors are installer-supplied.

Wall Panels

Panel Pin Mount

Screwed to the wall with panels pressed onto the pins. Fixings stay hidden behind the panel for a clean finish. Secondary adhesive or screw fix recommended for 600×1,200mm and 800×2,440mm panels.

Ceiling

Vertical Baffles

Panels hung vertically from ceilings to absorb sound where wall area is limited or where ceiling reflections dominate. Wire hanging kits available separately. Ideal for halls, gyms, and open ceilings.

Ceiling

Horizontal Canopies

Panels suspended horizontally to create acoustic canopies over specific zones — meeting areas, reception desks, or performance spaces. Typically achieves the highest effective NRC of the three methods.

⚠ Ceiling installation — important. Wire hanging kits are available separately and are NOT included in the panel price. Ceiling anchors are also NOT supplied and are the responsibility of the installer. Ensure fixings are appropriate for the ceiling type, panel weight, and span. Do not suspend panels from unsuitable surfaces. Read full ceiling precautions before installing →

Ceiling Baffles

Hung vertically. Only 15% ceiling coverage needed.

Ceiling baffles work differently from wall panels — and that difference matters in large spaces. When a panel hangs vertically from the ceiling, sound hits both faces of the panel, not just one. This doubles the effective absorbing surface from a single panel, which is why baffles can treat a room with significantly less material than a wall-mounted approach.

The practical guideline for vertical ceiling baffles is 15% of the ceiling area — compared to 25% for wall-mounted panels. In a space with limited or inaccessible wall area, this often makes baffles the most efficient solution available.

How to calculate baffle coverage

Coverage rule15% of ceiling area
Why less than walls? Both faces absorb sound
Typical spacingEven rows across ceiling
Wire kitsAvailable separately
AnchorsInstaller-supplied
Example: A 20 × 15m gymnasium has a ceiling area of 300m². 15% = 45m² of baffle surface needed. At 0.6m × 1.2m per panel, that's approximately 63 panels — distributed evenly across the ceiling in parallel rows.

Why baffles work so well in large spaces

  • Both panel faces absorb — effectively doubling the acoustic surface
  • Air gap above typically increases NRC beyond the rated 0.60
  • No wall area required — ideal for halls, gyms, and open warehouses
  • Evenly spaced rows treat the whole ceiling plane consistently
  • Can be installed without disrupting the space below
  • 600 × 1,200mm and 800 × 2,440mm panels are the most efficient baffle sizes
